Multiple NECA contractors and IBEW Local 1-signatories, led by ArchKey Solutions, demonstrated their prowess in healthcare construction with the completion of the new 16-story patient care tower at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. ArchKey’s team included TD4, J West, Guarantee Electrical, Primary Systems, Master Communications, BRK Electrical, JF Electric, Kay Bee and Kaemmerlen. The tower provides 224 private rooms for heart and vascular patients, 56 private intensive care unit rooms, advanced imaging, and the latest in surgical preparation and recovery. Learn more.

Meanwhile, PayneCrest Electric and Guarantee Electrical teamed for a little friendly competition to raise money two charitable endeavors – the Alzheimer's Association and Kidstruction. The two NECA contractors raised more than $120,000 in the third annual game. Kidstruction benefits Children’s Hospital while the Alzheimer’s Association supports research and treatment for Alzheimers, the most common form of dementia.

Outreach to launch careers in the electrical industry remains a critical mission of our IBEW/NECA partners.  To date this year, Electrical Connection Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Sylvester Taylor has engaged students in more than 30 career fairs. In the remaining months of 2025, he will be advising on career paths for students in career fairs at Ranken Tech (Sept. 30th) on the 30th, Lewis and Clark Career Center (Oct 10th) Normandy High School (Oct. 16th), among others.
