From all parts of the IBEW Local 1 family came many to honor those who served our country. Countless members of IBEW and their families joined to lay flags at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for Memorials Day.
Meanwhile, Memorial Day kicks off the vacation season and IBEW/NECA is again reminding boating enthusiasts to check the electrical safety of their docks. The daily exposure to wakes, high winds, bad weather and fluctuating lake levels can create shock hazards on the dock and in the water. GFCI receptacles should be tested, bonding jumpers should be inspected, main power switches should be at the dock entrance and easily found for first responders. See the full slate of tips.
