Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA in the News

The national Powering America team which represents NECA contractors and the IBEW workforce they employ supports advanced training, often spotlighting projects that require unique skills and safety that define IBEW/NECA training centers.  One such project according to the partnership is the Consolidated Terminal Program at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. It reports that the team of RJP Electric and IBEW Local is helping shift the airport toward a single, dual-sided terminal design expected to open in 2032.

Our NECA contractors encourage entrepreneurship as BRK Electrical Founder and CEO Marion Hayes, III, did last month for the Ivy Alliance Foundation (IAF).  The IAF promotes self-development, cultural enrichment, community service, and leadership opportunities for students, encouraging high school seniors to pursue educational and entrepreneurial goals. It supports graduates with scholarships to realize their dreams. Hayes served as a judge for the IAF entrepreneur presentations for its 2026 FASHIONETTA™ Cotillion, which saluted the bright future young scholars.

It’s been a stormy spring and when home electrical systems are damaged, Kay-Bee Electric is reminding residents to ensure repairs are made by licensed professionals.  Kay-Bee provided a “before and after” look at its repairs to one home that had serious damage to its electric service. Storms can wreak havoc, exposing wires, damaging meters to pulled connections and creating unsafe outdoor electrical components – all of which should never be ignored, but repaired and brought up to code as soon as possible.
