Electrical Connecton IBEW/NECA in the News

Summer camp fun is fully energized at Sherwood Forest in the heart of the Ozarks thanks to an annual volunteer effort by NECA contractor Schaeffer Electric and its IBEW Local 1 workforce. Each year, Schaeffer donates services and materials and its IBEW Local 1 workforce donates their time and expertise to perform electrical upgrades to Sherwood Forest. The non-profit serves children from low-income households and underserved communities in Missouri and Illinois. Sherwood Forest was grateful: “Thank you to our incredible team of volunteers from Schaeffer Electric Co., Inc. that joined us at camp last weekend! We are so fortunate to have a hard-working group from Schaeffer join us at camp each spring to help with crucial fixes and upgrades around camp.”

Seeing is believing, especially in understanding how healthcare technology and workflow in action makes all the difference. NECA contractor Primary Systems has built “dedicated Solution Centers across all its offices where healthcare organizations can experience real-world clinical workflows and integrations firsthand. These environments allow teams to see how technologies like nurse call, alarm notification, RTLS, mobile communication, and clinical integrations work together to support caregivers and streamline operations. More importantly, it helps organizations understand how the right technology and integration strategy can improve both the patient experience and the staff experience, reducing alarm fatigue, improving communication, and giving caregivers more time to focus on patient care.”
