Electrical Connection Engaging More Women in Electrical Careers


ST. LOUIS -- Like many, 27-year-old Tiffany Jones went to college and got a degree, but found the dynamic career she was looking for at the IBEW/NECA Electrical Industry Training Center.  Jones’ education includes work for Primary Systems, a NECA electrical contractor that specializes in integrated communications for the healthcare industry. It’s a career where patient flow, clinical communications, nurse call systems, electronic medical records, supply records are all being integrated in communication platforms to improve the patient experience, optimize treatment, maximize productivity and track important data. As a third-year apprentice, Jones is also mentoring other women interested in developing fulfilling careers in the electrical industry.
