The full breadth of NECA contractor Kaiser Electric’s healthcare services is on display at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Mo.  Here, working with Lawlor Corporation, Kaiser and its IBEW Local 1 workforce performed a complete renovation of the hospital’s Cath Lab Suite.  The newly completed project began in 2024 with the relocation of the healthcare facility’s old chapel and chaplain’s office to make room for six new pre/post op bays and rerouting the corridor leading to the surgery center to make room for the addition of Cath Lab 3. Upon completion of the new lab, Kaiser remodeled and upgraded Cath Lab 1. The project was completed in 5 phases that also included a new rooftop unit and upgraded temperature controls and HVAC for the whole suite.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) are critical to healthcare workers tracking patients and outcomes, but they must work as hard as healthcare teams. NECA contractor Primary Systems is offering insights into HallMonitor devices that “unlock the full potential of Epic Monitor by bringing critical room-level data out of the chart and into the hallway—right where care teams are making decisions in real time.” Primary Systems notes that “traditional digital door signage often creates more challenges than clarity, from dim screens to disruptive installations. HallMonitor is purpose-built for healthcare environments, with bright, contextual illumination, a clean aesthetic, and a form factor that works seamlessly in both new construction and retrofit projects. The result is clearer communication, faster clinical decisions, and less friction for teams moving through the unit—every shift, every day.”
