Congrats to Guarantee Electrical Co. which has earned a national award for its work on the Benson Hill Crop Accelerator in St. Louis.  The design/build project earned a 2022 NECA Project Excellence Award from the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). Guarantee was saluted for transforming a warehouse into Benson Hill’s 47,000-square-foot Crop Accelerator. The firm creatively engineered and installed a robust electrical infrastructure to power numerous grow chambers and supportive bio-science space. It also re-sequenced work to overcome a delay in critical switchgear, delivering the project on-time, under budget with no injuries.  The award will be presented to Guarantee on Oct. 17, 2022 at the NECA national convention in Austin, Texas.  Guarantee’s Benson Hill project is also a finalist for the AGC of Missouri Construction Keystone Award.  Winners will be announced on Nov. 3, 2022 at the AGC Construction Awards Gala at the River City Casino & Hotel in St. Louis.

The family of John Huntebrinker of Chesterfield is the winner of this year’s St. Jude Dream Home in O’Fallon, Mo. which was built using electrical services donated by the Electrical Connection.  More than 16,000 tickets were sold for a chance to win the home which carried an estimated value of $565,000.  Located at the Streets of Caledonia, the 2,457-square-foot, two-story home was built by Fischer Homes.  NECA contractor Grasser Electric and IBEW performed the electrical work with services donated by the Electrical Connection partnership. NECA contractor Vision Electric & Systems is among eight NECA contractors energizing the mission of St. Louis Children’s Hospital this month.  On August 4, 2022, Vision celebrated the kick off KIDstruction Week – an annual fundraiser for the hospital.  It was the seventh year that Vision participated in Kidstruction by creating a team to raise money for the hospital. Other NECA contractors creating fundraising teams include Bell Electrical, Guarantee Electrical Co., J.F. Electric, Kaemmerlen Electric, PayneCrest Electric, Sachs Electric and Schaeffer Electric.
