Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA in the News

Electric TV recently featured the IBEW/NECA Electrical Connection partnership and its role in pioneering and advancing electric vehicle infrastructure.  It is a legacy of supporting new technology and it begins by ensuring reliable and safe installations.  See the video.

Aggreko St. Louis is looking ahead.  It tapped Schaeffer Electric to install EV chargers for its future fleet of vehicles at its south St. Louis County location. Aggreko is an equipment rental company for power supply and temperature control. Schaeffer installed a total of 10 Level 2 chargers as part of a service upgrade to allow Aggreko to test some of their larger rental equipment.  The rebates from the chargers help them offset some of the while setting up the St. Louis location for the first fleet of electric service vehicles at Aggreko.

And what of the future generation of skilled electrical workers and engineers who will be essential to powering new technology?  They are found at all ages – young men and women -- in schools throughout the region and our IBEW/NECA partners are investing countless hours detailing the benefits of careers in the electrical industry.  On February 26, 2022, IBEW Local 1 Apprentice Ernie Bradley joined Electrical Connection Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Sylvester Taylor at the Infinite Scholars Career Fair at UMSL.  They detailed the decades-long “earn while you learn” education model at the IBEW/NECA Electrical Industry Training Center and the reliability standard that is at the heart of everything taught in the program’s 78-course curriculum.
