Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA in the News

The Electrical Connection joined the Economic Development Council (EDC) of St. Charles County in saluting seven organizations energizing economic development in the county.  The IBEW/NECA partnership was a major sponsor of the August 10, 2021 St. Charles County Economic Development Awards Luncheon where the Hoffmann Family of Companies was honored with the Economic Development Project of the Year for its $100 million investment in Missouri wine country. Electrical Connection contractor J. West Electrical Contracting, Inc. is being honored by the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers as a Diversity Award finalist in the category of M/W/DBE of the Year Award.  Winners will be announced at an August 18, 2021 gala celebration.  Learn more.

The annual Kidstruction fundraiser in August for St. Louis Children’s Hospital is led by this year’s KIDstruction Ambassador - Selah Harris, the daughter of IBEW journeyman Luke Harris, who works for Guarantee Electrical. Selah was diagnosed with spina bifida, clubfeet, hydrocephalus and other complex issues, but her perseverance, that of her family and the talented staff at Children’s Hospital is an inspiration to everyone. After moving into its new 40,000-square-foot headquarters in St. Charles, Mo., TSI Global Companies announced it is expanding to Charlotte, North Carolina, opening its first office outside of St. Louis to better serve clients on the East Coast.  TSI specializes in fiber optics and also builds audio/visual systems for small and large clients nationwide.  Among the clients it will be serving from its new Charlotte office are Centene Corp., Charter/Time Warner, Apple and Equifax.  Read more in the St. Louis Business Journal.
