Electrical Connection members were part of a roundtable discussion hosted by U.S. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh on July 15, 2021 at Rung for Women in St. Louis.  Among the topics was women in construction. Aschinger Electric President Emily Martin and IBEW/NECA Electrical Industry Training Center Assistant Director Dr. Linda Little offered their perspectives on growing opportunities for woman in the trades and in construction management.  Walsh was in St. Louis discuss President Biden’s plans to invest in infrastructure and the nation’s workforce.

Civic and business leadership joined Electrical Connection contractor TSI Global Companies, LLC in celebrating the ribbon cutting for its new 40,000-square-foot headquarters in St. Charles, Mo. on July 15, 2021.  The facility is infused with technology that reflects TSI’s services and is a showcase of precision wiring of network cabling and data closets.  Visitors experience sound masking, background music, networked audio and video, and a variety of native conferencing experiences including Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and Zoom as well as bring-your-own-device capabilities.  Learn more.

And are there two more enduring organizations who have partnered to power everyday life than the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)?  NECA just celebrated the 120th anniversary of its founding.
