More industrial firms are capitalizing on solar energy. The team of NECA contractor Aschinger Electric and IBEW Local 1 installed solar arrays for two American Metals Supply facilities in St. Louis.  They include a 100 kilowatt (kW) array in Hazelwood that will produce 130,000 kilowatt hour (kWh) of energy per year as well as an electric vehicle charger and more energy efficient lighting. In Fenton, Aschinger and IBEW installed a 65 kW solar array to produce 91,000 kWh per year.
