The curtain opened on the 101st season of the Muny in Forest Park and its spectacular $33 million stage renovation completed with the help of NECA contractor TD4 Electrical, LLC and IBEW. The opening show “Guys and Dolls” dazzled with advanced electrical infrastructure powering new LED lighting, motorized stage components, better sound and improved airflow. Five miles to the east the $220 million second phase of Ballpark Village is progressing with the assistance of three NECA contractors and IBEW. Bell Electrical Contractors, Inc., Guarantee Electrical Co. and J West Electrical Contracting LLC are all part of the massive 700,000-square-foot project. It includes a 29-story, 297-unit luxury apartment tower; a Live! By Loews hotel; a three-story retail building; an 11-story Class A office building and a Field of Dreams outdoor concert venue. Bell is the primary electrical contractor for the office and retail components. Guarantee is primary contractor on the hotel and apartment tower. The phased completion will be in 2019 and 2020. Meanwhile, the next generation of academic excellence is unfolding on the east end of the Washington University Danforth Campus with the help of the IBEW/NECA team. Here, Aschinger Electric, Bell Electrical Contractors and TD4 Electric are working with general contractor McCarthy Building Companies on the $280 million Campus Next project. This transformative project – the largest ever for the Danforth Campus – includes work on the Ann and Andrew Tisch Park; Anabeth and John Weil Hall; Henry A. and Elvira H. Jubel Hall; James M. McKelvey, Sr. Hall; the Gary M. Sumers Welcome Center; the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum expansion; the Craig and Nancy Schnuck Pavilion and an underground parking garage.
