Electrical Connection Hosts Event Connecting
David & Jerri Hoffmann with Business and Civic Leadership
ST. LOUIS – David and Jerri Hoffmann’s vision of a $100 million leisure destination combining multiple wineries around Augusta, Mo. was front and center at an Oct. 2, 2021 networking event at Busch Stadium hosted by the Electrical Connection. The event was held in partnership with the Hawthorn Foundation to advance economic development initiatives in the state.
The event engaged the Hoffmann’s with business, civic and state leadership, including Missouri Governor Mike Parson and made connections to advance key economic initiatives while watching the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Chicago Cubs. The Electrical Connection is a partnership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1 and St. Louis Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
“Our IBEW/NECA partners power the state in more ways than one,” noted Jim Curran, executive vice president, Electrical Connection. “We look for opportunities to bring business and civic decision makers together to advance economic development. The Hoffmanns have an incredible vision to energize the economic potential of Missouri’s wine country by creating a dynamic leisure destination.”
According to the St. Louis Business Journal, the Hoffmann’s have plans to consolidate select wineries in a 700-acre area, creating what will become the largest vineyard and winery development in the Midwest.
Joining the Hoffmanns, the Hawthorn Foundation, the Electrical Connection and Missouri Governor Parson at the event were key business and civic leadership from several firms including:
