St. Louis Science Center

“The Electrical Connection is a valued partner helping us to promote STEM and robotics education through their on-going and generous contributions.”

-Bert Vescolani, President and CEO

In a world where STEM education is vitally important, the Electrical Connection greatly values its partnerships with the Saint Louis Science Center. The Electrical Connection advances the Science Center’s mission of educating the public about all facets of science by:

  • Enhancing the James S. McDonnell Planetarium as a beacon of science by sponsoring the state-of-the-art lighting of the iconic structure in Forest Park. Capable of producing swirling patterns of colored light or a single static color, the lighting adds an aesthetic quality that is used to celebrate holidays or worthy causes throughout the year.
  • Lending its expertise in the electrical industry through the service of IBEW Local One Business Manager Frank Jacobs, a member of the Science Center’s board of trustees.
  • Ongoing support for Science Center STEM, robotics programs and electric vehicle and its traveling exhibition.

The Saint Louis Science has been recognized as among the top facilities of its kind worldwide and was named one of the “Top 10 Science Centers for Families” by Parents magazine. It includes the four-story OMNIMAX® Theater, Boeing Hall and the James S. McDonnell Planetarium.
