Electrical Connection Supports 2025 St. Jude Dream Home® Giveaway in St. Charles County

The IBEW/NECA Electrical Connection team is again donating services and materials to wire a St. Charles County luxury home for a special cause – advancing research and treatment for children with life threatening illnesses. The St. Jude Dream Home, which carries a value of $650,000, will benefit children served by the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. Proceeds from tickets purchased for a chance to win the home will help fund research and treatment at the renowned hospital. The Electrical Connection is a partnership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1 and the St. Louis Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association. Fischer Homes is building the home with TJV Electric performing the electrical work with its IBEW workforce.

“IBEW Local 1 and TJV Electric are part of a community of caring trade partners and vendors that make the St. Jude Dream Home possible," said Carrie Iddings, Corporate Communications Manager at Fischer Homes. “It is through their skills that this incredible living space is made possible to benefit the lifesaving research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.”

Located at 325 Kingsbarn Court in Dardenne Prairie, Mo., the home is built with the generosity and support of sponsors, trade partners, and the local community. Every dollar raised goes straight to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for funding research and providing care.

The 3,261-square-foot, ranch-style home is emerging at Fischer Homes’ Inverness community in Dardenne Prairie, Mo.  The Calvin design features three bedrooms, two and a half baths and a finished basement. Its open-concept design is ideal for relaxing and entertaining. It includes a first-floor study, a cozy family room featuring a shiplap fireplace, and a private owner's suite with a deluxe tiled shower.  Other features include a gourmet kitchen with an expanded morning room leading to a large outdoor deck.

“Our members give their best on every project, but this one carries the added inspiration of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s mission and its critical research and treatment of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases,” said Frank Jacobs, IBEW Local 1 business manager.

Beginning June 5, 2025, a total of 17,500 tickets will be available for a chance to win the home and other prizes at $100 each.  The August 14, 2025 drawing to give away the home will be carried live on KTVI FOX 2.  For more information, visit https://discover.fischerhomes.com/st-jude/st-louis-missouri-2024

“As on all of our homebuilding projects, the winning homeowner can be assured that our Electrical Connection contractors and their IBEW Local 1 workforce have proficiently installed home electrical infrastructure and fixtures while ensuring everything is built to code,” noted Kyle McKenna, Executive Vice President of St. Louis Chapter NECA.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent, and we won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
