The definition of “pace setting” skills can be found in the passion with which our IBEW/NECA Electrical Industry Training Center instructors advance their knowledge. So it was with instructors Michael Myers, Coby Henry, and Bill Papin. They recently graduated from the National Training Institute (NTI) after four years of rigorous educator training. Now in its 35th year, the NTI is part of the IBEW/NECA Training Alliance and invaluable in keeping our apprentices and journey workers up to date on constantly evolving electrical and communication technology. Congrats to the dedicated trio.
Meanwhile, a tip of the cap to the most recent graduates of the IBEW/NECA Electrical Industry Training Center. Onward!
The new U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is up and running thanks to a McCarthy Building Companies’ team that included NECA contractor Guarantee Electrical. In fact, Guarantee’s work was recently honored as a finalist in this year’s AGC Construction Keystone Awards. Its work was already an award winner as Guarantee managed more than 44,000 manhours with no injuries earning a 2024 AGCMO Safety Award. The 18-month project tasked Guarantee Electrical to help engineer and install all power and communications technology, meeting intense federal standards and maximizing value to this taxpayer-funded project. Learn more about this project, one of only three food safety facilities its kind in the country.
