Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA in the News

For the seventh year, the IBEW/NECA Electrical Connection partnership will energize hope for families served by the justice system.  The partnership will support and host the annual U.S. Probation Officers Holiday Giving Program at the IBEW Union Hall on December 10, 2024.  The U.S. Probation Office expects to serve 105 families, including 310 children. Children will receive gifts and every child ages 4-10 will get a bicycle and helmet.  They will also be able to pick out a gift for their parents.  Families will be treated to a holiday dinner and be given a turkey or ham to take home.  The event has made a real impact in uniting families served by the justice system.

As construction leaders go, it doesn’t get much more dynamic than NECA contractor PayneCrest Electric’s CEO David Payne.  The St. Louis Business Journal spotlighted Payne who has led the firm since 1985. It is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.  Payne grew PayneCrest’s reputation for problem-solving engineering and project management that optimized the productivity and workplace environment of its IBEW Local 1 workforce.  Since 2002, PayneCrest has been honored 31 times in the prestigious AGC Keystone Awards for delivering highly complex industrial and commercial projects. Payne also founded and successfully grew Payne Family Homes into one of the St. Louis’ largest homebuilders before selling it in 2021. In 2014, he earned national honors as an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. See the St. Louis Business Journal story.
