You heard about the derecho storm that rolled through Iowa last month damaging millions of acres of corn and soybeans. It also knocked power to more than a million Iowa residents. NECA contractor J.F. Electric was mobilized to assist with repairs and reported “The damage done to the communities and millions of acres of farmland is devastating and we are glad we were able to play a small part in helping to get power restored. All the messages and acts of kindness towards our crews do not go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated.”
On schedule, under budget and ready for fall classes – that describes Saint Louis University’s new $50 million Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering (ISE). NECA contractors TSI Global Companies and Schaeffer Electric were part of the project team lead by BSI Constructors. On Feb. 14, 2005, Engineering News Record (ENR) featured NECA contractor PayneCrest’s pioneering on-site Computer Aided Drafting CAD trailers that fit into a single parking space. 15 years later PayneCrest has refined the concept with its On-site Design Support station. The tech-filled mobile station allows dedicated design professionals to make immediate adjustments and maintain aggressive schedule deadlines. The on-site design support allows for just-in-time information to maximize field productivity.
