Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA in the News

Two massive solar field projects in Ohio, totaling 4,000 acres, were recently completed by NECA contractor PayneCrest Electric and its IBEW workforce. One of the projects provides clean energy to Cincinnati.  Combined, the two projects provide 320 megawatts of power, feature more than 626,000 solar panels and 13 million linear feet of wire, enough to stretch from New York to Phoenix. Meanwhile, In Jerseyville, Illinois, NECA contractor J.F. Electric is advancing a sustainable future with a solar project. Its skilled crew has been installing 750 MCM DC direct burial cables from Load Break Disconnects straight to the inverters. It is a crucial step to efficient energy transfer to the power grid.
