Industrial and commercial facility managers face a newly mandated electrical safety maintenance requirement from the National Fire Protection Association called NFPA 70B.  It details required “preventative maintenance for electrical, electronic, and communication systems and equipment – such as those used in industrial plants, institution and commercial buildings and large multi-family residential complexes – to prevent equipment failures and worker injuries.” NECA contractor Guarantee Electrical is offering guidance and assistance on developing a compliance plan ”to create, document and keep a clear plan for maintaining electrical equipment to keep up to code and adequate safety standards.
