NECA contractor PayneCrest Electric has a reputation for innovation that is born from thoughtful planning.  One example is its installation of in-slab conduits on an elevated concrete structural slab. In the St. Louis Business Journal’s annual ranking of the largest Metro East businesses, NECA contractor J.F. Electric was ranked 12th with revenues of $328 million. It’s also one of the Metro East’s largest employers reporting a total of 919 employees company wide.  The Edwardsville-based firm is proficient in commercial, industrial and utility construction.

July 10, 2023 marked the 125th anniversary of the passing of Henry Miller, who founded IBEW Local 1 right here in St. Louis in 1891 as the first skilled electrical union in the nation.  It was a tragic death – the result of a fall from a utility pole.  July 10th has since been designated as National Lineworker Appreciation Day.
