Men in hard hats working on an industrial project

Industrial projects present enormous challenges in manpower, engineering and delivery.

The IBEW/NECA team has been honored 22 times in the AGC Construction Keystone Awards for multi-faceted industrial projects including one of the largest and most complex ever -- the Holcim Cement Plant near Ste. Genevieve, Mo. The project was saluted for excellence in delivery, including managing 650,000-plus electrical man hours with no lost time injuries. We serve major energy suppliers, fuel processors, chemical plants, pharmaceutical, agriculture, and other industries.

IBEW/NECA is adept at meeting specific standards and infrastructure requirements unique to each client and industry. We excel at ensuring desired outcomes are achieved during the commissioning process. In addition to building projects from the ground up, our proficiencies also include:

  • Environmental retrofits
  • Scrubbers
  • Powering/integrating conveyor systems
  • Switchgear installations
  • Transformers and substations
  • Power distribution
  • Systems integration
  • Quality controls systems
  • Specialize installations, including explosion-proof fixtures and heat sensors.
  • Uninterrupted power supply & generators

We meticulously plan shutdowns to avoid disrupting ongoing industrial services and excel aggressive deadlines for retrofits to launch new production on time.  We have the manpower and skill to ramp up electrical installations when surges of work are needed for shutdown work.

Above all, because these projects are beehive-like busy as multiple trades work to meet accelerated schedules, IBEW/NECA makes safety a priority.  As part of our risk management, our workforce is thoroughly trained to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 and 30 and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) standards.
