Electrical Connection Sponsors Saint Louis Science Center Prologue Awards Luncheon Honoring William and Laura Orthwein and Emerson


ST. LOUIS — The Electrical Connection partnered with the Saint Louis Science Center to honor stalwarts of the community for outstanding contributions and innovation to STEM education initiatives that advance knowledge in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. The Electrical Connection was the presenting sponsor of the Science Center’s Prologue Awards to the late William R. Orthwein, Jr. and his wife Laura and Emerson. The Electrical Connection is a partnership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local One and the St. Louis Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).

The Orthweins created the William R. Orthwein Jr. and Laura Rand Orthwein Foundation to support education, the arts, health and welfare. Emerson was honored for its continuing support of STEM education.
