Electrical Connection Putting a Charge in St. Louis Rams 2015 Season

ST. LOUIS — There is no doubt that St. Louis is a sports town. And there is no greater champion of that enduring legacy than the Electrical Connection. The IBEW/NECA partnership is again putting a charge in the St. Louis Rams 2015 season with prominent sponsorships during home games and broadcasts. In addition to the Rams, the Electrical Connection is also a strong supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and Saint Louis Football Club — the region’s new professional soccer team.

This year, fans attending Rams’ home games will see the Electrical Connection’s support, especially when the Rams have the ball on offense. A digital ribbon screen will flash “Quiet Please” with the Electrical Connection logo to ensure the offense can hear the quarterback cadence and snap count. During the game, the Electrical Connection is also sponsoring “Under the Lights,” a series of profiles of players and the team. You can see the videos on the Rams web site. In addition, the Electrical Connection is a key sponsor of the Rams radio and television broadcasts.

“Our commitment to our hometown professional sports teams extends far beyond the games,” said Jim Curran, executive vice president, Electrical Connection. “We also engage and support them in important community endeavors, including educating the public on renewable energy and the importance of STEM education.”

Last spring, the IBEW/NECA partnership introduced the Rams to the one of the Electrical Connection’s sponsored events — the 2015 STEM Recognition Breakfast, hosted by Partners for Progress of Greater St. Charles. That led to a day-long STEM program for students honored at the STEM breakfast at Rams Park. The Electrical Connection is also strong supporter of the Rams’ annual “Green Game” that raises awareness about energy conservation and environmental stewardship.

“By partnering with the Electrical Connection and IBEW/NECA, we’ve been able to deepen our commitment to issues important to the St. Louis community,” said Michael O’Keefe, vice president of sales for the Rams. “The Electrical Connection’s commitment to Missouri’s energy needs, including renewable energy and STEM initiatives, provides a forward thinking approach which is important to building the workforce of the future for our region.”

The Electrical Connection is a partnership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local One and the St. Louis Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
