ST. LOUIS -- The Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA partnership has been spotlighted and saluted over the past month, showcasing service excellence, proficient project management, and teamwork. Electrical Connection-stacked-1-4c

At the Cortex Innovation Community, Kaemmerlen Electric was part of the team that built Square's new 17,000-square-foot office in the @4240 Building. The space is emblematic of work places designed to attract and retain the best and brightest employees.

The April 2016 issue of the national electrical industry publication, Electrical Contractor, profiled PayneCrest Electric, Inc. Service Manager Terry Brogan for a staple of IBEW/NECA excellence — service. In its monthly “Coffee Break” feature, Brogan detailed the best practices he has honed with PayneCrest to ensure customer expectations are always met. You can read the full article at this link.

Both PayneCrest and IBEW were also spotlighted by Electric TV for best practices in advancing the national IBEW/NECA “Code of Excellence” while delivering highly complex environmental upgrades at the Flint Creek Power Plant in Gentry, Ark. The project entailed deploying some of the best IBEW Local 1 supervisory professionals on the project. They assisted PayneCrest in developing the skills and safety of local Arkansas electricians in heavy industrial construction. The team shaved 10 weeks off the schedule to complete upgrades to the 528-megawatt, coal-fueled plant, ensuring it complied with new stringent U.S. environmental regulations.

The March/April issue of St. Louis Construction News and Review detailed another IBEW/NECA project — the creation of the Orion, a seven-story luxury living concept in the Central West End. The 415,000-square-foot complex features 177 living units and electrical installations by IBEW and NECA contractors Kaemmerlen Electric and Guarantee Electric Co. They overcame an extremely tight urban site at the corner of West Pine Boulevard and Euclid Avenue. With little room for staging, it required precision “just in time” delivery of materials for installations.

Finally, the American Subcontractors Association — Midwest Council has honored Guarantee Electric as the 2016 Outstanding MEP Subcontractor. Bell Electrical Contractors and Sachs Electric Co. were also honored for exemplary safety in 2015. The awards were presented at the April 23, 2016 Boots & Bling Awards Gala.
