Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA in the News

Electrical Connection contractors again dominated the St. Louis Business Journal’s annual listing of the region’s largest electrical contractors. A total of 18 of the 21 companies listed were IBEW/NECA contractors. Aschinger Electric, led by Emily Martin, was spotlighted on the front page for the firm’s billings that jumped 47 percent in 2015 to $48.78 million. Aschinger placed fifth overall in the rankings. The top four electrical contractors — all affiliated with the Electrical Connection — were Sachs Electric Co., JF Electric, Inc., Guarantee Electrical Co. and PayneCrest Electric, Inc. “The listing reinforces the Electrical Connection as the single source for the most reliable contractors,” said Jim Curran, executive vice president of the Electrical Connection. “A search of our data base will connect businesses and homeowners with well capitalized contractors, proficient in all types of electrical and communication installations.”

Not surprisingly, four IBEW/NECA contractors also made the list of Top Specialty Contractors in ENR Midwest. They included Guarantee, PayneCrest, Sachs and Aschinger.

The Electrical Connection was a prominent sponsor of the Missouri Governors Conference on Economic Development, held Sept. 7-9, 2016 at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. With a theme of “Missouri Masterpiece: Innovation, Creativity and Discovery,” the Electrical Connection provided a valuable perspective on electrical and communications innovations supporting the state’s goal of “opening our minds to new visions and ideas.”

As a major sponsor, the Electrical Connection also provided the electrical industry’s perspective on innovation at the Midwest Energy Policy Conference (MEPC) on Oct. 4 and 5, 2016 at Washington University. Resiliency was the theme for MEPC this year. Electrical Connection Executive Vice President Jim Curran gave the welcome address and moderated the local resiliency session. In addition, the IBEW/NECA focus on training to develop pacesetting skills and safety was spotlighted in the MEPC program book.
