A season-ending salute to the Electrical Connection can be seen at all four Twin City Little League fields in Festus, Mo. Jake Hibbits, IBEW Local 1 journeyman wireman, joined IBEW Business Representative Chuck DeMoulin in hanging banners celebrating the Electrical Connection’s donation to repair field lighting. Last spring, Hibbits alerted the Electrical Connection to the lighting problems which threatened the entire Twin City Little League season. The IBEW/NECA partnership agreed to donate services make repairs and bring the lighting up to code, allowing more than 400 kids to “play ball!”

NECA contractor Kaiser Electric is being praised for its work on the 212 Clayton project – a 26-story, $54.5 million multi-family, mixed use high rise. St. Louis Construction News and Review (CNR) profiled the project slated for completion in August 2017. It noted accolades for Kaiser from HDA Architects and Paric for its “problem solving prowess and creativity in making the building systems work vertically.” Read the full story here.

Another NECA contractor, Vision Electric, performed the electrical work on a massive logistics operations center spotlighted in August in the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Contegra Construction Co. was the general contractor for the 1.1 million-square-foot facility now serving the nearby General Motors assembly plant which has also been served by NECA contractors and IBEW.

The Electrical Connection is again a key sponsor of the upcoming Missouri Energy Policy Conference (MEPC) on Oct. 3-4, 2017 at Washington University in St. Louis. The Electrical Connection’s Jim Curran is vice chairman of the Missouri Energy Initiative, which hosts the annual MEPC.
