ST. LOUIS — One of the nation’s leading African American publications, the St. Louis American, has tapped the Electrical Connection for its perspective on the importance of STEM education in the electrical industry.

In “STEM education energizes electrical careers,” Electrical Connection Executive Vice President Jim Curran and IBEW/NECA Electrical Industry Training Center Director Dennis Gralike outline the significant complexities in the electrical industry that demand a strong foundation in STEM subjects — science, technology, engineering and math.

The article also details an extensive outreach into schools by the Electrical Connection to improve STEM education, including partnership with the St. Louis Rams, Saint Louis Science Center, FIRST Robotics, Cortex, TechShop and other businesses and institutions.
