Throughout the country the IBEW/NECA team is advancing the future of renewable energy. In Salem, Ore., the Smart Power Center (SPM) has made reliable renewable energy power storage a reality. For decades, widespread adoption of smart grid technologies have hinged on finding a reliable 'as needed' source for storing renewable energy. IBEW and NECA workers helped engineer and design the SPM, which serves as a hub for one of the most advanced electrical systems in the world and helps to provide solutions for the next generation of green energy use.
