Jim Curran introduces Jeffrey Fort speaking on US Supreme Court decisions impacting energy.

ST. LOUIS — The annual gathering of Missouri energy policy makers will again be sponsored by the Electrical Connection, the partnership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local One and the St. Louis Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). This year, the Missouri Energy Initiative (MEI) will host its eighth annual Midwest Energy Policy Conference (MEPC) on Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, 2014 in St. Louis. The program will examine new regulations and court rulings impacting all forms of energy and effective ways to develop state energy plans.

The Electrical Connection offers guidance to MEI throughout the year. Electrical Connection Executive Vice President Jim Curran is vice chairman of MEI and serves its executive committee. He brings the perspective of IBEW/NECA partnership members who design and install all types of energy installations. At MEPC, Curran will introduce the Sept. 30th luncheon speaker, Jeffrey Fort, partner, head of climate change practice, Dentons law firm in Chicago, who will detail U.S. Supreme Court rulings impacting the energy industry.

Since 1998, members of the IBEW/NECA partnership have been honored for construction excellence on more than 70 projects in the annual Associated General Contractors (AGC) of St. Louis Keystone Awards.
