Electrical Connection Sponsors 2012 First Night-« St. Louis Celebration

ST. LOUIS, MO. — 2012 First Night┬« St. Louis, the city’s preeminent family-friendly New Year’s Eve extravaganza in Grand Center, helped nearly 20,000 St. Louisans ring in 2012 thanks to support from the Electrical Connection. For three consecutive years, the Electrical Connection has sponsored the event by donating $10,000 to support the lighting of Strauss Park. The Electrical Connection is a partnership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local One and the St. Louis Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).

“First Night┬« offers families in our community a fun, memorable and safe way to enjoy New Year’s Eve,” said Greg Booth, business manager, IBEW Local One. “It is our pleasure to support such a worthwhile festival celebrating the New Year and the arts.”

In its 20th year, First Night® St. Louis is a multi-venue celebration of the arts with lights, characters, activities and performances by more than 25 musical groups, comedians, magicians, tumblers and more.

Members of the Electrical Connection provide safe and reliable electrical construction, maintenance, repair and replacement services across eastern Missouri. More is online at www.electricalconnection.org.
