Electrical Connection Offers Members Continuing Education Seminar on Changes to the 2014 National Electrical Code


ST. LOUIS — To keep pace with the evolving National Electrical Code (NEC), the Electrical Connection is offering a free seminar to its members on changes to the 2014 NEC. Three six-hour classes in March and April are being offered, allowing Electrical Connection members to choose from two sets of weekday evening classes or one full-day class on the weekend. The training sessions will be held at the IBEW Local One Hall at 5850 Elizabeth Ave. in St. Louis. Members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local One and the St. Louis Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) are encouraged to attend. Online registration for IBEW/NECA members is available at this link. The registration deadline is March 14, 2014 or until the class are full.

The classes will be held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, March 18, 2014 and Thursday, March 2014, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (must attend both sessions)
  • Tuesday, April 8, 2014 and Thursday, April 10, 2014, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (must attend both sessions)
  • Saturday, April 19, 2014, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

IBEW/NECA Electrical Industry Training Center instructors Jeff Holmes, Dr. Linda Little and Bill Papin will teach the classes. Holmes and Dr. Little are members of NEC panels and Dr Little chairs NEC Panel 13 covering installations of generators, batteries, fire pumps, stand-by systems and other emergency-oriented electrical systems.
