Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA in the News

The Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA partnership’s commitment to the community and its prowess in project delivery has been spotlighted in a number of ways this summer.

NECA electrical contractor Aschinger Electric earned certification as a woman-owned business enterprise. Learn more about the firm’s electrical contracting services at www.aschinger.com. Aschinger is also among several companies supporting a Cor Jesu Academy program energizing engineering careers for young women.

Several IBEW-NECA projects were spotlighted as St. Louis Construction News and Review examined best practices in fast tracking small projects. It included Square’s new office in the Cortex Innovation Community, where Kaemmerlen Electric served as electrical contractor. Pyramid Electric is on the team constructing a 26,000-square-foot entertainment venue around an operating brewery, the Hofbrauhaus St. Louis-Belleville in Belleville, Ill. Meanwhile, Benson Electric Co., Inc. is part of the team that performed a precision seven-month renovation for the Phi Beta Phi International Fraternity for Women’s international headquarters in West St. Louis County. The renovation was performed as Phi Beta Phi occupied the office. Best with NECA Logo

And yes, that was the NECA St. Louis Chapter logo that you may have seen prominently displayed on the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in June. The logo was showcased for the national E2E Summit in St. Louis on June 14-16, 2016, which brought together the most innovative ideas from successful business enterprises throughout the nation. When the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1 international convention comes to St. Louis to celebrate its 125th anniversary on Sept 15, 2016, the IBEW logo will be projected on the Planetarium.
