The work and proficiencies of the Electrical Connection IBEW/NECA partnership have been recently spotlighted in a number of ways.

On the same day that the Electrical Connection sponsored a Saint Louis FC fundraiser to help launch a Ferguson, Mo. “Shop with a Cop” program, it was also in Ferguson to recruit the next generation of electricians and communication technicians. Tim Green, director of governmental affairs for IBEW/NECA, led the initiative at the St. Louis Emerging Leaders Career Fair on July 30, 2016 at the Ferguson Community Center. Green met with career seekers and detailed the pacesetting skills developed at the IBEW/NECA Electrical Industry Training Center.

NECA contractor Liberty Electric, Inc. was part of the design/build team led by Artisan Building Co. that completed a $1.5 million expansion of DYNALABS pharmaceutical testing facility in St. Louis. The project, which added both wet and dry lab space along with office and support space, was featured in Construction Forum St. Louis.

PayneCrest Electric, Inc. and Guarantee Electric were named among the Top Workplaces by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Electrical Connection’s support of the Missouri Energy Initiative (MEI) will be showcased in a video for the upcoming Midwest Energy Policy Conference (MEPC) on Oct. 4-5, 2016 at Washington University in St. Louis. Jim Curran represents the Electrical Connection at MEI where he is vice chair and an executive committee member. MEI sets energy policy for the state of Missouri.
