First responders in the Valley Park Fire Protection District have a brand new fire house with state-of-the-art electrical infrastructure thanks to NECA contractor Summit Electric and its IBEW workforce.  Located at 47 Crescent Ave., the new Engine House No. 2 and Administrative Office improves services to the estimated 17,000 residential and business customers in all or parts of  Valley Park, Twin Oak, Manchester, Ballwin and unincorporated St. Louis County. In addition to all the electric panels and power to the fire house, Summit installed energy efficient LED lighting, communications, fire alarm systems and a backup generator to ensure 24/7 operations.

On June 22, 2022, NECA contractor Guarantee Electrical Co. hosted a group of 40 public school teachers, counselors and administrators to inform those in educational leadership of the vast construction careers available in an innovative and collaborative effort to develop the talent for the next generation of construction industry leaders. Orchestrated by Construction Forum in partnership with the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Guarantee showcased its pre-fabrication facility and the skills needed to succeed in the electrical/communications technology industry.  It fortifies an era of changing curriculum at area high schools, where construction technology, architecture and engineering are shaping new career paths in the building industry to address a labor shortage and build the skilled workforce of the future.

And on the 25^th anniversary of the AGC Keystone Awards, Electrical Contractors are celebrating a total of 105 of their projects being honored in the prestigious construction excellence awards. This year, four projects – two each from NECA contractors Guarantee Electrical Co. and PayneCrest Electric, Inc. -- have been named finalists.  For Guarantee, the projects named finalists include the Benson Hill Crop Accelerator in St. Louis and the Nestle Bloomfield plant expansion in Bloomfield, Mo.  PayneCrest is being saluted for its work on the Benson Hill project for Seneca Realty in St. Louis and the Mizzou NextGen Precision Health Institute in Columbia, Mo.  Winners will be announced this fall.  See the complete list of Electrical Connection contractor projects that have been honored over the years in the AGC Keystone Awards.
