Electrical Connection Celebrates Home Opener for the Saint Louis Football Club


ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Soccer Park in Fenton, Mo. will be abuzz on Saturday April 11, 2015 as the Saint Louis Football Club (FC) kicks off its home opener and the return of outdoor professional soccer to St. Louis. Among the sponsors is the Electrical Connection partnership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local One and the St. Louis Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). The action will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at St. Louis Soccer Park in Fenton, Mo. See the video of the home opener here.

The Saint Louis FC team will be sporting jerseys emblazoned with the Electrical Connection logo and that of co-sponsor Mercy Hospital for its inaugural season in the United Soccer League (USL). It also includes a tie-in to the city flag of St. Louis and a patch with the newly designed USL logo. “We are really excited to be part of the team bringing outdoor professional soccer back to St. Louis,” said Electrical Connection Executive Vice President Jim Curran. “Soccer is such an enduring tradition in St. Louis, one that we are proud to be associated.”

Saint Louis FC is affiliated with USL’s Chicago Fire and comes into the home opener with a 1-1 record.
