Due to their contributions to the electrical industry, John Kohnen was inducted into the National Academy of Electrical Contracting in 1987, and his son, Stephen Kohnen in 2010, thus becoming one of only a few father and son members of the Academy. John’s son, Brian Kohnen, is the current president of Kay Bee Electric.
